The Tier I (Investor) Visa Programme
The UK Government, through UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), offer a Tier 1 (Investor) Visa programme which enables high net worth individuals to obtain residency status by making substantial investment in assets in the UK. Subject to certain conditions – including criteria relating to the amount, nature and duration of the investment – a Tier 1 (Investor) Visa applicant may obtain leave to enter the UK and, ultimately, indefinite leave to remain.
Agency Investments, in partnership with a pre-eminent global financial institution, provide a dedicated service to support clients and their professional advisors in meeting the Tier 1 (Investor) Visa requirements. All solutions have been designed to comply with associated requirements (effective: 6th November 2014).
Under the conditions of the Tier 1 (Investor) Visa programme, capital must be invested in eligible investments through a UK regulated financial institution and maintained in accordance with the Tier 1 (Investor) Visa rules for the duration of the relevant period. For investments of GBP £2m, the duration period is 5 years, for GBP £5m, the duration period is three years and for GBP £10m, the duration period is two years. Capital may not be withdrawn during the holding period. Income generated by the assets can be withdrawn or re-invested in the portfolio.
Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) Visa Programme

Subject to certain conditions – including criteria relating to the amount, nature and duration of the investment – a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) Visa applicant may obtain leave to enter the UK and, ultimately, indefinite leave to remain.

Under the conditions of the Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) Visa programme, £200,000 must be invested in an eligible business through a UK regulated financial institution and maintained in accordance with the Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) Visa rules for the duration of the relevant period of three years and four months. Application can be made at the end of the period to extend the applicant’s stay for a further two years and, after five years, the applicant can apply for UK residency.
